Software

Custom software for processes that off-the-shelf tools do not solve.

When Excel, loose tools or a standard package get in the way, we build software around how the organisation actually works.

Custom software makes sense when the process is specific, data should live in one place, or people now retype too much. It does not make sense when an existing package already covers the work and only needs a better setup.

Tinsights works with web developers and full-stack engineers. For larger jobs we bring in extra specialists. You talk to people who also build the system.

When custom software fits, and when it does not

Yes

  • The process does not fit a standard package without awkward workarounds
  • Several roles need the same data, with different permissions
  • It must connect to systems you already use
  • You want to extend the system later without starting again

No

  • A known package already does the work and is only set up poorly
  • The need is mainly a brochure website
  • Nobody in the organisation owns the process yet
  • The first version must do everything before anyone uses it

What we build

Systems people open every day.

No abstract platform story. Concrete parts you can extend later.

  • Frontend and backendScreens that follow the work, with an API and logic behind them.
  • Databases and permissionsWho may see or change what, recorded in the system.
  • Sign-in and accountsAuthentication for staff, customers, or both.
  • Dashboards and internal toolsOverviews, queues and actions instead of loose spreadsheets.
  • SaaS and business systemsProducts or internal platforms with room to grow.
  • Payments and integrationsPayment logic, APIs and automation where the process needs it.
  • Ongoing developmentAfter the first version we keep building on the same base.

Examples

Concrete, not buzzwords.

  • Internal portal

Status, documents and tasks in one place, different per role.

  • Planning

Who does what when, without a chain of mail and chat.

  • Customer environment

Jobs, files or reports without back-and-forth.

  • Approvals

Request, review and record instead of an inbox archive.

How we work

A usable first version first.

  1. Map the processWho works in it, which exceptions exist, what must not go wrong.
  2. Scope of version oneWhat we will and will not build. Sharp beats everything at once.
  3. Build and testWith the people who will use it, not only at handover.
  4. Care and next stepsHosting, monitoring and a backlog that belongs somewhere.

Capacity

Where we are technically at home.

  • Web and APIsTypeScript, Next.js, Node.js and REST or webhooks.
  • DataPostgreSQL and clear models instead of loose tables.
  • AccessRoles, sessions and permissions per screen or record.
  • IntegrationsCRM, accounting, payments or internal tools connected.

Questions

How long does custom software take?

It depends on the first version we agree. A focused internal tool is different from a full platform. We put a timeline on that scope, not on an average.

Do you work with our existing team?

Yes. Extra developers or specialists from Tinsights can join. You keep one point of contact.

Can you take over existing software?

Often. We look at codebase, hosting, documentation and risk. Then we improve, wrap or replace it in a controlled way.

Does custom software fit this process?

Describe briefly what is going wrong now. We will also say if a standard package is the better fit.
